Catherdral Catholic High School was one of original high school rugby teams in San Diego. Over the last 9 years the CCHS Rugby Team has been crowned champion once and runnerup twice. Cathedral fields Varsity boys, Junior Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls Rugby Teams. Many of their graduates have gone onto to play college rugby at Cal, BC, ASU, Arizona, TCU, SMU, LMU, RPI  and Colorado. Four CCHS Rugby players currently play in the Major League Rugby League and five have represented the USA.
